Biographical Sketch

Dr. Abdulaziz ATABANI was born in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1983. He completed his undergraduate study in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Khartoum, Sudan in 2005. He received his Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of Malaya, a public research university in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2010 and 2014, respectively from the Mechanical Engineering.

Atabani speaks native Arabic, fluent English, intermediate Turkish and Bahasa Melayu at basic level. He has been working as Assistant Professor Dr. in Energy Division, Department of Mech. Engineering, Erciyes University, Türkiye since 2014. He is also the head of the Alternative Fuels Research Laboratory (AFRL) of the same university. He is main research areas: Energy & Environment / Recycling of Waste / Resource Recovery Circular Bioeconomy / Biorefineries / Energy Efficiency. He is listed as a Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Cross-Field (Top 1%), in 2021 and 2022.

He has been an editor and guest editor in many journals with high impact factor within the scope of SCI. He has authored many book chapters, worked as a researcher in many projects and is the author of more than 100 (SCI) articles (h-index = 43 (scopus), h-index = 51 (google scholar)).
